Viswa Yuva Kendra is a voluntary organization founded on the 15th day of December 1986 in Angul District and served in the central and western part of Read more the state of Odisha in the field of community health, water and sanitation, child right, education, women empowerment, youth promotion and community capacity building. The organization addresses the people especially the poor, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, marginalized women, children and disadvantaged youths. VYK is registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in 1987, Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 1976 in 1996 and renewed in 2021, 12A of Income Tax act 1961 renewed in 2021 and 80-G of Income Tax Act in 2022.  a.     Vision We visualize a people-centred, ecologically sustainable and just society that promotes and protects the dignity, equality and social justice for all.  b.     Mission Improve the sustained socio-economic condition of the marginalized community by focusing on women, young people, children, tribal and scheduled castes by strengthening community-based organizations and people’s institutions. We are working for a tribal community with 45 families suffering from a lack of drinking water and have got support from the Consulate General of German, Kolkata office for Rs. 608,000 for the supply of drinking water to individual houses using solar (renewable energy) from the deep borewell. We need additional support for its improvement.
