Village Community Welfare Society

The Village Community Welfare Society (VCWS) functions as a registered social service entity, committed to improving the livelihoods of rural resident Read mores, particularly disadvantaged women and children. Operating across 17 Panchayats in Annavasal, Viralimalai, and Pudukottai Blocks, the organisation conducts a range of development initiatives. These encompass educational classes for rural dwellers, including women, children, youth, farmers, quarry workers, individuals with HIV/AIDS, and those with disabilities. Led predominantly by women, the executive committee actively engages in project planning and execution. VCWS forges strong partnerships with governmental bodies, social service groups, donors, and the wider public to facilitate collaborative community development efforts. Affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Voluntary Health Association (TNVHA), VCWS participates in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to bolster its capabilities and deliver impactful services within its operational areas. The organisation aspires to instigate positive societal transformations, with a mission centred on mobilization, awareness raising, capacity enhancement, leadership cultivation, promotion of indigenous medicine and agriculture, and empowerment of women.
