Mahila Gramodyog Seva Samiti (MGSS) is a civil society organization (CSO) formed in 1994. MGSS is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860. I Read moret was started as a women’s rights centric organization and still continuing with the same. At present it is extensively focusing on women health. MGSS’ chief functionary, Shrimati Radhika Mishra had a deep seated zeal and enthusiasm in social work since a very tender age. She got appointed in the Community Development Department in 1956 which offered her the opportunity to further initiate the upliftment of the marginalised and deprived section of the society. Her initiatives were spread to all the areas she was posted in, especially Azamgarh, Mau, Balia, Deoria and Basti. Vision MGSS envisions a self-dependent and healthy society, free from exploitation and based on the principal of gram swaraj where unity and peace co-exists in perfect harmony Mission To strengthen the society especially for Dalit women, children and other belonging to the down-trodden sections of the community Aims  Social development through community participation  Strengthening of Panchayti Raj Institutions (PRIS)  Empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized groups  Strengthening of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)

  • Community Health Program (C.H.P.)

    District

    The program is to strengthen the ICDS to improve the nutritional status of children and pregnant/lactating mothers. Safe parenting and child-rearing methods within the community create hygienic and healthy behaviours to enhance the sexual and reproductive health of adolescents. Aims to make frontline primary health services accountable to and responsive to the government. aims to create a functioning VHSC to organise, carry out, and oversee health services at the Panchayat level.
