The challenging circumstances prevailing in Nuapada district, Odisha, prompted socially conscious individuals to come together and implement initiativ Read morees for the welfare of the community. The rapid marginalization, precarious conditions, dwindling resources, declining health standards, and overall socio-economic situation in the Nuapada region compelled these concerned individuals to embark on a journey of socio-economic development under the organizational framework known as "THE AYAUSKAM." Established in 1993 and officially registered in 1998, this organization has been actively addressing the diverse social and economic needs of the district's residents, striving to uplift their quality of life across various spheres. Objectives: • To engage in social service and development activities aimed at uplifting the impoverished and vulnerable segments of society. • To promote and enhance the capabilities of village institutions. • To strengthen Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) to facilitate grassroots-level governance and development initiatives. • To foster people's empowerment and advocate for gender equality. • To raise awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol and substance abuse. • To educate the public about the importance of safe drinking water and sanitation practices. • To promote awareness about social forestry and environmental pollution to preserve ecological balance. • To encourage organic farming practices and the adoption of modern agricultural technologies. • To raise awareness about food and nutrition-related issues. • To support the Indian System of Medicine (ISM) and promote herbal gardening. • To conduct awareness campaigns on Right to Information (RTI), sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and HIV/AIDS, and facilitate the rehabilitation of sex workers. • To establish and operate a rehabilitation center for disabled and mentally challenged individuals. • To establish a well-equipped healthcare center with modern technologies to provide quality healthcare services to those in need.
