    District

    A collaborative effort with BCPT, Mumbai, brings forth a multifaceted initiative in Chikuwadi, Mankhurd, Mumbai. This endeavour encompasses a Library, Study Classes, and a Recreation unit. BCPT plays a crucial role by providing sponsorships to students who excel, attaining over 84% in SSC and HSC. Furthermore, the community benefits from skill development programmes, including Computer, Tailoring, and Beauty Parlour classes, made possible through the support of Larsen and Toubro, Mumbai. This collective effort contributes significantly to educational and vocational enrichment in the region.

  • Collaborative Programme with Ammada Trust

    District

    In collaboration with Ammada Trust, assistance is extended to impoverished individuals, offering Tailoring Machines, Medical aid, and educational support. Particularly addressing the plight of rag pickers labouring at Mulund Dumping ground, Ammada Trust supports their transition by providing investment for initiatives such as Potato stalls, Vada Pav Stalls, Tailoring Machines, Katta businesses, and General stalls. This concerted effort aims to empower 23 families, enabling them to initiate and sustain various businesses, fostering self-reliance and improving their overall quality of life.

    Collaborating with the All India Institute of Local Self-Government, Mumbai, a comprehensive Minority Survey was conducted and successfully concluded in M-Ward & L-Ward of Mumbai in March 2012. Involvement extends to the engagement of 156 members associated with the "Sahara Kachara Vechak Sangh" at Mulund and Deonar Dumping Ground. Additionally, six savings groups have been established specifically catering to the needs of Rag pickers at the Mulund Dumping ground.
