My Angels Academy (MAA) was founded by Sylvester over thirty years ago, with a vision to uplift underprivileged children by providing them with love a Read morend football. These children, affectionately referred to as "Angels" by Sylvester, were once engaged in activities like rag-picking, theft, and drug addiction. MAA focuses on transforming them into individuals of dignity and respect through a range of activities. These activities include coaching in football, tutoring in academics and English, and training in various other disciplines such as yoga, meditation, dance, and theatre. The academy also places a strong emphasis on instilling moral values and preventing social vices like drug abuse and violence. By offering holistic education and alternate avenues for prosperity, MAA aims to break the cycle of poverty among these children. Currently, MAA operates primarily in Delhi and Orissa, utilizing rented spaces and public parks for its activities. Despite challenges such as limited infrastructure, the dedication of both students and volunteers remains unwavering. In Delhi, students wake up early to practice football under streetlights to avoid disturbances, while in Orissa, efforts are being made to establish dedicated centres for academic and activity-based learning. MAA relies heavily on senior Angels, who serve as volunteers and mentors, perpetuating a "Pay it Forward Model" where students are encouraged to give back to their community.
