The Core Charter of South Asia Forum for Art and Creative Heritage (SAFACH) is to encourage creative and artistic collaborations among all the South a Read morend South-East Asian nations. SAFACH aspires to become a strong medium to facilitate dialogues between the creative industries of South and South-East Asian nations. The Indus Valley Civilization began on the Indus river. In time, there were several invasions and separate kingdoms were formed. But eventually, people mingled to form a common culture in art, traditions, cuisine, religions, festival, sports and literature. Despite some differences, the "way of life" is still similar in all the South Asian nations and in several aspects, they overlap each other. SAFACH is a forum to share art, culture, cinema, heritage, traditions and literatures amongst all South Asian countries; to be a strong medium to develop peace and better understanding of each other; foster Cinematic Co-Productions and Joint Research cum study. SAFACH endeavours to create South Asia’s First Internationally Travelling Film Festival titled: ‘Indus Valley International Film Festival (IVIFF)’; a platform for Film fraternity from across South Asia to Network, collaborate, and co-produce. The concept of this artful event grew from the idea that cinema and art in South Asia are inter-connected, and they get nurtured from each other in sensibility and craft. Cinema and art have the power to bring peace and harmony, and envisage for a more compassionate world around us. Another initiative of SAFACH, SASN- ‘South Asia Screen Network’ is the first ever platform to help the film fraternity across South-East Asia to interact with each other and seek collaborations, joint-ventures, co-productions, distribution partnerships, line-production and technical support, provide internship opportunities for young film aspirants, organize workshops, and so on.
