The Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) works with the vision of using sports as a universal language for development. Its main focus is on empowering un Read morederprivileged children and youth by providing them with life skills through sports, which contribute to their overall personality development, health, fitness, and peace. SCF aims to create a passion for sports among these individuals, allowing sports to positively influence and transform their lives. As an NGO established in Hyderabad, India, in 1991, SCF has been promoting health and peace building through sports for the past 30 years. Its mission is to build India through sports, particularly by promoting a sports culture among vulnerable communities and helping them escape poverty and integrate into mainstream society. SCF aims to involve all strata of society in adopting sports as a way of life for overall development and peace. It has successfully transformed a neglected government land into a vibrant miniature stadium, collaborating with the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) and Government authorities. SCF works closely with Government schools and colleges to provide free coaching and facilitate access to excellent sporting facilities for disadvantaged communities. Over the past three decades, SCF has been dedicated to serving the poorest and excluded children and youth. It has created basic sports facilities, provided sports equipment to over 300 government schools, and conducted motivating sports workshops and multi-sport activities. SCF's voluntary works with a documented approach that goes beyond sports, incorporating Gandhian values into their coaching manual and teachings.

  • Sports Coaching Facilities

    Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) offers a range of modern sports facilities at Masab Tank (Hyderabad) and West Marredpally (Secunderabad Cantonment) that schools and organisations can utilize. These facilities include multi-sports options such as cricket, football, volleyball, kickboxing, gymnastics, tennis, boxing, and basketball. SCF provides comprehensive coaching facilities for various sports, including indoor cricket nets with synthetic astro turf, two electronic bowling machines, a digital speed gun, floodlights for day/night coaching and events, modern tennis coaching, football coaching, basketball coaching, coaching for boxing, karate, and kickboxing, a multi-facility gym for overall physical development, a sports audio-visual hall, and a sports library. These facilities cater to the needs of those seeking professional coaching and training in different sports disciplines.

  • Seminars & Workshops

    SCF conducts multiple workshops and Seminars on various aspects of sports. It includes the sports facilities in the backdrop of the city of Hyderabad, women in sports, sports medicine, bringing about the transformation of human lives through sports, encouraging CSR activities keeping sports as the centre of social activity. These symposiums are attended by eminent personalities from the city and central administration and subject experts who address the audience on multiple topics relating to sports.

  • Free Tournaments & Events

    SCF regularly hosts free matches and tournaments besides helping renovate sports infrastructure in schools. It hosts these matches between educational institutions, public service agencies and public bodies like police departments. It has also conducted events where the IPL players interacted with needy children encouraging them and kindling hope in their minds along with the social cause of helping out poor tribal children in Nanded, Maharashtra.

  • Build India through Sports Programme

    This programme of SCF aims to bring sports facilities to every needy child irrespective of their status or social background. It works to improve the availability of fundamental sports facilities and infrastructure to children from the lower strata of society, encourages the development of good sports people, inculcates an atmosphere of fitness leading to fewer diseases, makes sports facilities economical and reasonable to the underprivileged funding them through CSR partnerships and fostering social values of teamwork, peace and mutual esteem.
