Programs

  • Home Care

CanSupport maintains 28 home care teams that fan out to give support to cancer patients at their homes. Such people who are in the last stages of cancer need constant support and care and most importantly have their families around them. These patients and their families find it difficult to visit a care centre regularly and attend to sudden issues. The home care team takes care of the daily routine of the patient, counsels the family on loss and grief and also informs them about what to do under the conditions.

  • Day Care Programmes

    District
    State

A separate day is reserved for children, teenagers and adults suffering from cancer who want to visit day-care clinics run by the organisation. The children, teenagers and adults are engaged in customised activities like arts, crafts, storytelling, music, healing, personality development, relaxation techniques, yoga, meditation etc., to boost confidence in the patients and motivate them to live life productively.

  • Clinics

The organisation operates clinics near Delhiā€™s major cancer hospitals that guide the patients and caregivers towards the best possible course of treatment. The cancer care schedule gains importance when the disease is detected early and effective steps can be taken to suppress it. It offers outpatient care, nursing care and wound management at its clinics besides giving psychosocial support and informing of Government welfare schemes to mitigate the cost of treatment.

  • Counselling

    District
    State

To help people cope with cancer, the organisation offers counselling to patients as well as their near and dear ones. The counsellors encourage family members to come out openly with their worries and anxieties and suggest emotional remedies and relaxation techniques like meditation. Each session is done on a one-to-one basis and personal attention is given to the person. The organisation also provisions telephonic and online facilities for those people who cannot visit the counsellors while also providing relief to those suffering from a loss of a dear one.
