Works with the three-fold objective of Conservation, Knowledge and Service with primary focus on providing quality education to children from socially Read more and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through its conservation initiative, it undertakes projects for protection of water resources, environment, flora, fauna and forests through awareness campaigns, mobilization of volunteers for conservation activities and cleaning drives in hill stations. Its Knowledge initiative works with the aim of providing equal educational opportunities to every child and operates an umbrella education project called Vidyarthi. The activities are focused on persuading parents to send their children to school, providing coaching to children attending government or municipal schools and distributing free educational material and stationery to students. It also provides Spoken English and Personality Development classes for school children and offers them career guidance and counselling.

  • Project Vidyarthi

    State

    Provides learning assistance to students at the CKS Foundation education centres in Delhi and in Chandranagar, Uttarakhand. The centre in Uttarakhand caters to the educational needs of students in over 16 villages and hamlets. Encourages students to think out-of-the-box to understand concepts using mediums such as storytelling, art, theatre, and films. It depends on offline and online material to support the children in experiential and experimental learning. These centres are managed by trained teachers, and visiting faculties. In addition to providing education to students for all age groups and all subjects, the teachers also support the children to fill up digital forms for entrance exams and competitive exams in their computer centre.

  • Project Udaan

    State

    Program to encourage and promote creativity in children with experimental learning and self-discovery through theatre, dance, music, artwork, crafts, creative writing, photography, film screenings, educational tours, visits, picnics and storytelling.

  • Project Poshan

    State

    Food and nutrition are an essential component of our free-of-cost education services. Home-cooked nutritious and healthy meals are served to students at lunchtime every day. This has led to a significant improvement in their well-being. This has also helped the students stay enrolled in our centers.

  • Project Swasthya

    State

    Provides medical and financial assistance to people living in backward rural areas and urban slums, medicines, clothes, food, ration and other daily use articles to the inhabitants.

  • Conservation projects

    State

    CKS students in Delhi and Uttarakhand participate in conservation efforts in their own way. The students take part in cleanliness drives, tree planting initiatives, debates and discussions,

  • Relief work

    State

    During natural calamities like floods and fires, CKS has volunteered for relief work and distributed essential items, medicines, and also arranged for financial aid for the needy.
