We at Samavedana (An activity by Pune Neurosciences Trust and Research Society) work to bridge the gap between essential healthcare and the deprived. Read moreOur programs have been curated over time to address the critical healthcare needs of the underprivileged. On the journey of spreading happiness, Samavedana has touched over 100,000 lives so far. Currently, we are serving 15,000 beneficiaries annually, with an annual budget of Rs 2,50,00,000. Samavedana envisions bringing essential healthcare within reach of the underprivileged. Accordingly, various programs are based on three key areas of healthcare - Treatment, Prevention and Awareness. Samavedana, during its journey, has started individual and community based programs like: • Financial aid to needy patients : 1350+ Patients completely helped • Preventive cancer screening: 12,000 + women screened, 34 found with Cancer • School health programme, Mulshi block (taking annual beneficiary count to 8000 +) • Mobile clinic in Mulshi block : 13 Villages in Mulshi Served weekly Most of the programs implemented by the organization are within the domain of preventive health and community health education. The programs are shifting its focus more on community and the approach is shifting from case based aid to empowerment through education and preventive action.

  • Mobile Clinic

    The Public Health Department provided primary treatment to residents of the Mulshi region's backcountry via a "Floating Clinic," also known as a "Tarangta Davakhana." But lately, the project wasn't working well because of fluctuating water levels. Samavedana and the Public Health Department collaborated to bring back health services using a novel idea known as the Mobile Clinic.
