Love n Care for Animals is a voluntary animal welfare organisation based in Kolkata, India. It extends its services to stray dogs, cats, abandoned cow Read mores, horses, and neglected birds such as crows, kites, and vultures in the Kolkata district, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, and other areas in West Bengal. The organisation's mission is to alleviate the suffering of distressed animals and contribute to the well-being of the community and the environment. Since its establishment in July 1997, Love n Care for Animals has been dedicated to its noble cause. It operates from its administrative headquarters at 80/2C, Sarsuna Main Road, Kolkata – 700 061, under the P.S. Behala. The organisation has grown significantly over the years, and it now operates a fully equipped animal hospital in Jagannathpur, South 24 Parganas, funded by the Government of India. Additionally, Love n Care for Animals uses three service vehicles, including a mobile clinic, a small animal ambulance, and a larger animal transport vehicle, to facilitate the transportation and treatment of sick and injured animals.

    Love n Care for Animals recognizes that improving the condition of stray and distressed dogs necessitates a shift in the common people's attitude towards them. Creating a humane approach is vital for this purpose. The organisation conducts regular awareness programmes that involve the display of leaflets, banners, posters, and hoardings. Walks dedicated to this cause are also organised. As a result, areas where Love n Care for Animals has intervened have witnessed a positive transformation in the general approach, fostering greater compassion and care for these animals.

  • Mobile Clinic Programme

    Love n Care for Animals provides a swift response to all complaints, ensuring a 24-hour turnaround time. It operates a mobile clinic equipped to offer essential medical care to common diseases found in stray animals, guaranteeing timely and accessible assistance to those in need.

  • In - House Treatment Programme

    In cases where Love n Care for Animals encounters critical illnesses requiring hospitalization, it transports the patients in need via ambulance to its facility. Renowned veterinarians provide treatment with state-of-the-art facilities. Once the strays have undergone proper care and recovered, they are released back to the locations from which they were initially rescued, ensuring their well-being and a return to their familiar environment.
