Theory of Change

Sense International India understands that deafblindness/MSI creates specific difficulties, particularly in communication, mobility, and access to information and thus works to provide information, guidance, support, and training to help deafblind people and their families overcome these challenges. By raising awareness and campaigning for rights, opportunities, and services for this population throughout the nation on one hand and providing technical assistance to its partner NGOs and direct training of their staff to work with deafblind children on another hand, SII brings meaningful change in the lives of this unique population. Supplementing to this work, the collaborative work with the government to ensure inclusion of deafblindness/MSI in policies and capacity building of government SSA teachers.

" We at THF believe, every child is born gifted with potential and resilience to excel in their life. The need is to tap their talent at the earliest and enable them with equal opportunities, and positive attitude. We endeavour to support the ideas and programs that promote inclusiveness in all domains of life. As a step towards above, the partnership between The Hans Foundation and Sense International India began in 2016, to reach out to children with deafblindness in Goa. Sense India has proven to be a committed partner. Together with sustained efforts, we have brought hopes in the lives of 50+ children with deafblindness. These children deserve holistic support, well designed programs & services, and encouragement like any other child. Our best wishes are always with SII to continue this journey on the road of excellence. "
