Society for Advancement in Tribes Health Education and Environment (SATHEE)

The organisation undertook initiatives this year to ensure the rights of children and empower adolescents. Noteworthy efforts include strengthening 16 ICDS centres through capacity-building, establishing 6 bridge centres for dropout adolescents, training over 200 School Management Committees, organizing a 15-day SHIKSHA EVAM POSHAN YATRA, reinforcing 102 Village Health & Nutrition Committees, conducting immunization campaigns, empowering 3000 adolescents to reduce child marriage, growth monitoring for malnourished children, a 7-day KUPOSHAN MUKTI YATRA, and campaigning against child marriage and trafficking. The Access to Justice Project Phase 2 addresses child trafficking, sexual abuse, and ensures justice and rehabilitation.

Empowering women and addressing gender-related issues have been focal points of the organization's efforts. Capacity-building training on malnutrition-related topics was provided to leaders of women's forums in two blocks, benefiting 243 participants. Additionally, meetings of bungalow-level Damin Mahila Sangha were organised, involving over 52 women leaders, discussing crucial issues like child marriage, trafficking, girl child dropout, institutional functionality, and economic improvement. Efforts resulted in the recovery of six trafficked women, supported to return home comfortably through decisions made by Gram Sabha and women federations. The federation's initiatives also connected over 200 families to local PDS and tribal pensions.
