Quest Alliance works to improve education in India, by working on innovation and advocacy in the field of teaching and learning. It works with educato Read morers, civil society, government institutions, and corporations, demonstrating cost-efficient solutions that can be replicated and scaled for educational and vocational training using Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In addition, it works with existing educational institutes to provide more opportunities to the youth. It also works to build the capacity of trainers and educators in order to enhance the quality of education and skills training they provide. It also encourages self-learning by providing vast digital content.

Impact

Its individual programmes have had the following impacts: Anandshala has reached 465,000 children, created 40 change leaders, impacted 996 schools and 200 model schools and improved attendance by 9%. Secondary Schools Programme has reached 178,472 students, 14,422 teachers, 1,073 schools across 136 districts with 11 partners in 7 States. MyQuest has trained 300,000 youth, 55% of youth in work, trained 3,300 trainers with 450 partners across 22 states and 8 Government partnerships. MasterCoach has trained 3,762 trainers in 317 institutions, reached 1,16,250 students across 20 States and Union Territories. Change Leaders Academy has impacted 441 principals, 416 industrial training institutes, 53 emerging leaders, 19 organizations and 51 change projects across 9 States.

Programs

  • Secondary Schools Programme

    Enables girls in the secondary level of learning to access 21st-century skills and get familiar with technology. Coding is taught through this programme preparing the girls to be contributors to the growth of the country rather than just consumers.

    It is conducted through partnerships with civil society and Government agencies and encourages the girls to pursue a career in technology and create an enabling environment for the girls via engagements with parents, teachers, principals and the Government.

  • MasterCoach

    MasterCoach is a 5-month certification program for trainers and educators. Through digital learning and experiential learning activities, the programme helps facilitators learn how to manage classrooms, build relationships with learners, and create customized lesson plans for various learning environments.

  • Change Leaders Academy

    This programme attempts to equip leaders to transform and build sustainable learning environments. It focuses on skilling in two eco-systems, the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Vocational Training Institutes (VTIs).

    The programme aims to build leaders who are creative and critical thinkers and can create value-based organisations, think of innovative methods of teaching, involve the community in their endeavours and head transformational initiatives.

  • Anandshala

    Its district-wide project, Anandshala, uses data to build stronger relationships between students, teachers and parents, to help ensure that children stay in school, engage in the classroom, and learn.

    The project works on improving the way government policies are implemented in the schools, by building facilitating relationships between the government, its schools, and the community.

  • MyQuest

    MyQuest is an initiative targeted at youth aged 18 to 30 from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds who urgently need employment. Through the initiative, Quest Alliance collaborates with educational and vocational institutions in order to provide life, employment, and career development skills.

    Additionally, through digital self-learning and traditional classroom learning, MyQuest works to enhance the capabilities of educators so that they can teach market-oriented skills to students. The MyQuest programme consists of 250 hours of digital content in English, Life and Work Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Literacy. It also provides placement support, a network of industry alumni, and master training programmes for overachieving trainers.
