Works with the vision of bridging the gap between requirement and supply of adequately trained and qualified teachers. To solve the problem of lack of Read more conceptual clarity in teachers, it provides a technology based learning solution for teachers called Chalklit. The learning material is based on open source sharing and provides tactical inputs for planning classes, conceptual and pedagogical training, updates on global teaching practices, training on teaching methodologies and tips for recalling previous knowledge. Using the ChalkLit platform, it offers learning-based and grade-specific content & services to the NGOs, schools and other partners. The content, services and training are provided for its online as well as blended programs. It works across 6 states, claims to have trained about 280,000 teachers, impacted children 150,00,000 children and 50,000 schools. It has received several awards and accolades for its innovative approach like Women For India Social Founder 2020, Rashtriya SwayamSiddh Vishesh Samman, BETT Asia 2019, Global Edtech Startup Awards 2018, Graymatters Capital, Digital Social & Economic Empowerment Awards and others.

Programs

  • ChalkLit

    ChalkLit provides comprehensive capacity building programs for teachers, school leadership and administration at scale through partnerships with state education departments and school bodies. It also offers platform & services to other NGOs, content, and implementation partners in the education space for online and blended programs. The embedded content development framework allows modular structuring of the content suitable for self-paced mobile learning.ChalkLit has been developed by the Million Sparks Foundation and is supported by Google.org, Central Square Foundation, PayTM, and Gray Matters Capital.ChalkLit has devised a 11-point framework working with teacher mentors, practitioners, content experts and teachers with 10+ years of experience which allows the team and partnering organizations to build engaging and interactive microlearning modules.

  • Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP)

    Million Sparks has since March 2020 worked with teachers to focus on holistic development of students. LLP was launched in the last week of March 2020. This will be a 2 step process:1. A well defined designed goal from expected outcome of every course to ensure that all course content addresses behavioural adaptation and creation of structures to ensure that outcome.2. To equip teachers with certain decisive to-dos (tools and resources) which are ready to be deployed in their classrooms for effective implementation of these strategies.
