This HCL Foundation-funded project operates in 12 slum communities of Lucknow, UP, reaching around 15,000 people. Named "AAO BAATEIN KAREIN," it aims to improve reproductive health for individuals aged 15-49. Long-term objectives include reducing unintended pregnancies and increasing access to safe abortion and family planning services. Short-term goals focus on promoting modern family planning methods, raising awareness about safe abortion and non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and enhancing access to health services. The project employs various methods like mohalla meetings, counselling, camps, and community participation to spread information and provide access to modern contraceptives and NCD screenings.

The "ADARSH" programme, funded by Bank of America, focuses on empowering adolescent girls in 8 blocks of Lucknow, UP, reaching approximately 300,000 people. The programme operates in Government schools and communities, aiming to educate children about social issues like WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene), MHM (Menstrual Hygiene Management), Rights, NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases), and Nutrition during their school education. By adopting a child-to-child approach, the programme encourages positive health-seeking behaviour among adolescents, who actively participate and share the information with their families and communities. With its implementation in 100 schools, 10 HWCs (Health and Wellness Centers), and 300 communities, the programme strives to make a difference in both the school and community settings.

The "Breaking Silence" project, backed by Water Aid and executed by Vatsalya, aims to empower women and adolescent girls regarding reproductive health with a focus on menstrual hygiene management. Through intensive community mobilization, the project endeavours to establish sustainable models for the supply chain of sanitary napkins using the 'AAA Model,' which stands for Awareness, Accessibility, and Affordability.

The "KOPAL" project, initiated by Vatsalya, aims to create awareness and sensitize the masses about the crucial issue of female foeticide. Implemented in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Jharkhand, the project triggers advocacy efforts toward the functionality of District PCPNDT advisory committees and the proper enforcement of relevant laws. This endeavour has led to an increase in reported cases and strengthened both the program's spirit and the organisation's commitment to the cause.

The "KOPAL 2," project focuses on raising awareness about Birth Registration, emphasizing that every individual has the right to be recognized as a citizen of the nation they are born into. This initiative is closely linked to the campaign against female foeticide and advocates for birth and death registration as essential components.

The "Link Worker Scheme (LWS)" programme, implemented by Vatsalya with support from Plan India, focuses on spreading awareness about HIV-AIDS in the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, India. As India faces a significant HIV-AIDS challenge with the world's largest population living with the infection, preventive actions are crucial to control its spread. The programme aims to address this urgency by raising awareness about HIV infection, especially targeting the population in the region, where 74% of males and 40% of females are aware of the risks of HIV, according to data from the 3rd National Family Health Survey (NFHS).
