MESCO, the parent organization of Mesco education society (MES), began its journey by lending textbooks to a small number of school and college studen Read morets while providing support for basic survival needs. Evolving into a registered NGO, it initially focused on education, medical services, and poverty relief. Later, in 1977, Mesco Education Society (MES) was formed as a separate Trust, aiming to serve as a provider in the educational realm. The organisation’s mission is to empower society with individuals of integrity and character, fostering holistic education and skills training to prepare responsible citizens for modern challenges. In line with its mission, the organisation has established the following institutions: 1. Crescent English High School & Jr. College: Commencing in 1993, the school aimed to impart value-based education and nurture students' innate abilities. From humble beginnings in rented premises in Kausa, Mumbra Dist. Thane Maharashtra, it has now earned a reputation as one of the area's leading schools. In 2016, it launched the Junior College offering Science, Commerce, and Arts streams. 2. Vocational Training School in Dharavi and Mumbra: In 2007-2008, the first Vocational Training School started at Dharavi, catering to school dropouts, in collaboration with Jan Shikshan Sansthan, a Government of India initiative. Following its success, in 2008-09, the organisation inaugurated a second Vocational Training School in Mumbra in collaboration with the esteemed institution Fr. Agnel Polytechnic Bandra. 3. Chain of English Medium Nursery Schools in slums: The organisation operates a network of 12 Nursery schools across neglected areas in Mumbai. Over 80% of the Nursery School students successfully gain admission to reputable English Medium Schools in their respective regions. 4. ECCed Teachers Training Institute: This year-long program, affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education, aims to empower women with teaching skills, methodology, technology, and values to excel in Pre-Primary Schools. The program commenced from the Academic Year 2019-2020.

  • Nursery school

    District

The initial six years of a child's life hold immense importance, fostering their physical, linguistic, and social development. Thus, investing in Early Childhood Care and Education is crucial. MESCO initiated its first institutional project, the English medium Nursery Schools program, in a Bandra slum pocket back in 1977. This doorstep school enabled children to qualify in admission tests for high schools in the vicinity, helping them gain access to quality mainstream education. In 2009, the Nursery Schools project was brought under the purview of the MESCO Education Society and has since been under its management.

  • Vocational training centre

    District

To integrate dropout students back into mainstream society by equipping them with technical skills and fostering self-reliance, Mesco Education Society initiated a Vocational Training Centre in 2008 at Mumbra Kausa, Maharashtra. This centre was established in collaboration with Fr. Agnel Technical College, Bandra.
Imparting technical skills would not only transform the lives of individual dropout students but also positively impact society as a whole.
