Rescue Foundation works to save women and girls from human trafficking. These girls are usually brought from the bordering country of Nepal or from vi Read morellages giving them false hopes for better lives. The Foundation on getting information tracks down and rescues such girls. The rescued girls are united with their families and if that is not possible, are given residence and protection in the Foundation’s shelter homes.

    The Foundation runs four shelter homes in the cities of Mumbai, Boisar, Pune and Delhi respectively. Each of the homes provides a safe, protected space for the rescued girls and includes facilities like training halls, computer labs, entertainment centres and dining halls.

    The girls are looked after by the Foundation through regular health check-ups, excursions, where girls from all four homes come together and go on an annual trip, yoga and meditation sessions, martial arts training and theatre workshops. Vocational training is arranged for the girls which includes spoken English, jewellery making, bag making, beautician courses, tailoring and computer training.

    Based on the duration of stay granted by judicial courts, the girls are also encouraged to continue, and if possible, complete their education while staying in the shelter.
