BEA founded in 2011 as a not for profit, voluntarily-run organization by youth to work passionately for Bihar and neighbouring states, which lacke Read mored Entrepreneurial mindset, and this kept the Eastern India down on all major development indexes with very low per capita income. BEA works for Economic Empowerment of youth and women through Entrepreneurship in the state with largest youth population in India. In a very challenging environment, BEA started working on creating and supporting Grass-root entrepreneurs and StartUps through Inspiration, Preparation and Execution. In the past seven years, it has conducted over  1 lac direct Interactions with Youth through 80 “StartUp Yatras” (a chain of workshops at grassroot level run like a Campaign from 2013)  focusing  all districts  of Bihar and some in UP & Jharkhand.      Working on the  Hub & Spoke Model , the BEA attracts youth to Enterprising Zone,  a 5,000-square-feet   Internationally recognized Incubation cum Business Facilitation Centre, run completely through contribution and grants.  Through this, BEA extend  Free Hand-holding support  to all potential entrepreneurs right from its  Ideation until Execution  and subsequent scale up. BEA’s work has found space in  Academic and Research journals  of global repute. For  Government of Bihar , BEA  drafted the StartUp Policy  and showed the way to provide under-utilized Govt offices to grassroot startups. Meanwhile, BEA have created altogether  200+ recognized StartUps and over 3,000+ entrepreneurs  right since our inception back in 2011 and completed  250 plus workshops . Through these works, BEA convinced the State Govt. at its Annual Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit in 2015 to create State venture capital Fund for startups and grass-root entrepreneurs.  It has initiated Pitch 4 Bihar, Udyog Samwad and many innovative to attract youth towards entrepreneurship and at the same time develop an ecosystem for them. Among them there are 50 plus women entrepreneurs, 50 plus SC ST entrepreneurs, Differentially-able, they are from diverse sectors like Textiles, Handicrafts, IT, Logistics, Agri tech, Edu Tech, Health-Tech etc. It developed a  pool of consultants & mentors  include more than 100 Globally Acclaimed industry-leaders  in their respective sectors including  healthcare, food processing, education, and power & climate protection . BEA has been working in developing all  Tech- and  Non-Tech  sectors especially  Agriculture, Health and Education . Many a times our work has been appreciated by NITI Aayog which selected BEA as the only organization in Bihar, UP & Jharkhand in 1st phase for setting its premier project Atal Incubation Centre (AIC). BEA is now a  19,000-member  organization. BEA has been invited by Govt of China, Govt of Israel to share its journey, and also supported by Govt of Taiwan, Govt of Netherlands. US Govt selected BEA team member for its IVLP for starting the incubator in South Asia. It has created several International Chapters to support entrepreneurs and Start Up. US Ambassador and six Indian   Ambassador from   countries  like Argentina, Mauritius, US have visited BEA, guided and motivated the team to work at grass-root level. Apart from many programs in Eastern India for women and grassroot youth, it has initiated “AI 4 Grassroot” at its AI-Centre of Excellence to introduce Artificial Intelligence in grass root youth and help them developing applications to solve the grassroot problems. Our Annual event and also a Path-breaking event for Ecosystem Building in Bihar is Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit (BES). 1st BES in 2014 gathered 300 think tank and started district StartUp Yatra with highlighting Innovation and Incubation; BES-15  gave Bihar StartUp Policy, Incubation Centres, IT Park at Biscomaun, a 500cr State Venture Capital Fund, Bihar StartUp Yatra in all districts among some initiatives. Hon Chief Minister of Bihar has inaugurated BES-15 and BES-17.   BES-16  gave Udyog Samwad (Direct Talk between individuals and Govt.), StartUp Committee to implement StartUp Policy, many tie-ups.  BES-17  saw launching of StartUp Policy with 4000 participants and StartUp Expo. 5th BES-18 was inaugurated by His Excellency the Governor of Bihar and Union Minister of State for Finance and speakers were Padamshree and Ex-Ambassadors with 1200 participants and Tech Expo.  6th BES-19 had District Entrepreneur Award and Bihar Pravasi Sammelan with the theme Grassroot to Global with Union Ministers, State ministers, Foreign Ambassadors and many Global Speakers like Director-ISM, Credit Suisse; Investors, Entrepreneurs and Senior Representatives from Banks, Govt. etc. 7th BES will have 100 Grass root level entrepreneurs to be awarded from every field. YES 2020 was organized with IIM Bodh Gaya at its campus in Jan’20 and Techathon was organized in March with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt of India. Weekly Webinars are being where Minister of Industries, Govt of Bihar participated on Ideation, Migrant Workers, Economy Aftermath for youth and StartUps, Sector-wise Covid 19 scenarios, Cost management etc. BEA is guiding several District administration in Bihar to implement new Innovative policies like District Industrial Innovation Fund and helping them in efficient execution. Bihar Agripreneurs Summit was inaugurated by Hon Minister of Industries and Hon Minister of Agriculture, Govt of Bihar, several speakers and International experts were part of the virtual event. BEA also worked to provide food, rashan and medicines to the needy all over India through its helpline and its national network. Enterprising Bihar Talk was organized on 9th year of establishment of BEA on 2nd Aug’ 20, where speakers from Ministry of External Affairs, Professors from Harvard, MIT, Berkeley, professionals from Kuwait participated. BEA is working with the support of Ministry of External Affairs in connecting to Bihari Diaspora to involve them in state’s development. Bihar Global Summit was inaugurated by Hon Dy Chief Minister Shri Tarkishore Prasad with a theme to “Grassroot to Global” and objective was “Connecting Bihari Diaspora with Entrepreneurs of Bihar and Matching Global Expertise with Local Requirements”.

  • Centre for Education Development

    State

    The Centre of Education (COE) is a department dedicated to accomplishing the vision of BEA. COE has been functioning consistently for the past few years and runs a number of skill development courses. The basic function of COE is to conduct courses, workshops, and training regularly. COE has successfully trained more than 2000 trainees in different domains. Presently, BEA is running more than 7 skill development courses, including the flagship Startup Entrepreneurship Program (SEP) which was started in 2021.

    The Bihar Entrepreneurs Association (BEA) has been known for its innovative launch of products and services in the state since its formation. BEA's experts range from agri-tech specialists to product scientists, patent holders, and experts in machine learning, big data, augmented reality, virtual reality, nanotechnology, fintech, IT, and ITES. BEA believes in collaboration and commercialization of new and innovative products to reach the masses for growth and development.

  • Enterprising Zone

    Enterprising Zone is an Incubation Center established in 2013 by BEA. It is supported by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (Govt. of India), Department of Industries (Govt. of Bihar), StartUp India (Govt. of India) and many other organizations with National and International repute. The vision of this Institute is to encourage entrepreneurship and teach the same values to youth and potential entrepreneurs from the entire state, urban and rural. Enterprising Zone organises Many Programs and Workshops on New Technologies, Pitching Programs, Business Development Opportunities, Tie Ups and Investments from Business Communication to Machine Learning, AI and VR. With its partners, EZ provides a pool of Mentors and Investors from different sectors. It has incubated around 150 startups in last 4 years. It also works for International Business Development and works closely with Entrepreneurs in Market Entry and Market Expansion Strategies.

  • Centre for Policy and Research

    State

    The Centre for Policy Research (BEA) has been working on new policies and modifications of old policies. They have been working on foreign government policies of the US, BRICS, UK, etc. BEA has updated ground data through its work of the last 6 years, interacting with almost 60,000 people and holding regular meetings. This data helps their research team in monitoring and evaluating policies. BEA has worked on the Startup Policy of Bihar, given inputs to other state governments like Gujarat and Jharkhand, worked on the Industry Policy 2011 of Bihar, the Vegetable Cooperative Policy, etc. They have been working closely with organizations like ILO, NITI Aayog, and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India. BEA sees a big gap between on-ground realities and the policies that are going to impact them. Hence, BEA is trying to fill this gap through regular reports to several governments, organizations, and institutions.

  • Centre for Youth

    This centre works on 4 verticals: Career Awareness, Skill Analysis, Infrastructure and ecosystem and Job and entrepreneurship of youth. Every district has programs and initiatives related to this. This centre also plays a major role in Cultural development engaging youth in Bihar.

  • Centre for Skill Development

    State

    BEA has a large network of members from diverse sectors, an advisory body, and thousands of well-wishers who want to help Bihar in skill development. Many of them are pioneers in a range of sectors. BEA analyzes the skills required by individuals and tries to find the skill set required. Then, they work with individuals in selected skill domains at their Skill Development Centre. BEA also receives corporate requirements for which they do targeted skill development and place the trained workforce. They are in regular search for partners and networks who can join hands for skill development and increase their impact.
