Help us fund South Asia's first people’s initiative for climate action!

Dear friends,

South Asian People’s Action on Climate Crisis (SAPACC) is a rainbow coalition that's brought together people of all walks of life who are concerned about the climate crisis. Our Launch Meeting in Hyderabad was attended by 50+ delegates from South Asia and 250+ delegates from across India, apart from a 1000 strong audience attending locally. We subsidised the entire event for activists, trade unionists, workers, farmers, students and members of the civil society who attended the launch event and three-day meeting that followed (people from the above groups were charged only Rs 500 for the whole event, including food & accommodation for 4 days). The response exceeded our expectations, but it has also increased our financial burden. Therefore, we have requested our vendors for more time and are making a fresh appeal for funding to help us meet the shortfall in money collected (we're entirely crowdfunded).

Our colleagues have given their valuable time, used their good offices and put in tireless efforts to ensure the success of the event. The least we can do is to minimise the financial stress on them – we need your help now!
