Bhagabanpur is a village of minor communities situated in Krushnaprasad Block in Puri district of Odisha and the distance from Puri is around 47 kilometers. The Village is surrounded by Chilka Lake. The livelihood of the area completely depends upon fishing from Chilka and selling it in nearby areas. In the last cyclone, Fani the villagers lost their boats, net, and all fishing equipment/articles. They don’t have enough income to feed their family and purchase education material for their children. Neither the minor communities’ women, adolescent girls were involved in any income generation activities nor they were allowed to go for any training to the outside of the village. And there is no training institute available in the surrounding locations where they can take some skill-based training. And the women of the community seating ideally at home who were quite aspirant for becoming the supporting hand for their family.To combat this situation 20 women have raised their heads to earn some money and support their family by sewing clothes. But they are not trained or enough money to purchase a sewing machine or avail a tailoring training. who were now ready to take training and support their family financially and fulfill their children’s education need. In this context, AJSA needs to support these women by providing them the sewing machine along with training and involve them in income generation activities.  
 The reasons why the organization decided to intervene, is the fact that many women groups approached the organization to provide them with such facility so that they can improve on their living standards. The women and adolescent girls will be divided into 10 groups consisting of 2 members. So that we can provide 1 swing machine to each group to build their livelihood. After completion of the tailoring training, the groups will be assisted to link them with the market for their product selling. Further, linkages will be created with government and financial institutions for availing government livelihood entitlements and microcredit from financial institutions to expand their activities in the future.To identify the existing alternate livelihood opportunities as well as vocational skill-building requirements, the baseline and PRA information will be used. Efforts will be made to ensure that the small and marginal community members who will be covered under different Government livelihood restoration assistance. Both agriculture and horticulture experts from the government would be invited to orient the members in the target areas. Some members will be provided seeds support for Rabi crops and developing kitchen gardens 
 In rural minor communities, women do not have enough facilitates to go outside and earn money. The tailoring training and swing machine support will enable them to become independent and make them able to sustain financially. This will enhance the employability of 20 minor and poor women, adolescent girls, after receiving the essential skills and training in tailoring.The women of the area require special attention and economical help is required to make them self-reliant. The project, therefore, aims to engage these women so that they can learn some skills through tailoring which will help them to improve their living standards. Further, this will significantly affect the lives of SHG members in their income generation activities, livelihood security, and self-employability.In the initial period, 20 families will be benefited directly and 700 families will be benefited in the future. Under the proposed program, efforts would be made by the organization to help 20 vulnerable minor communities’ women and adolescent girls.
