“The abusers insert a candle or fingers in the vagina of children torture them. If the children don’t relent even then, the abusers put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. When children stay in these conditions, it is painful even to hear,” says Lalitha SA of the Society for Participatory Integrated Development (SPID), while talking about many heart-rending stories of trafficked children in red-light areas. In over three decades, the team of SPID led by Lalitha, has saved over 3000 children from the red-light areas in Delhi, such as GB Road, and many from clutches of sex trafficking. I had even seen my friend’s 15-year-old sister and 70-year-old grandmother being forced to do sex work for the price of a cup of tea”, recalls Girish. “I started by merely feeding and teaching children of sex workers initially with the intention of giving them some respite from the horrors of life of abuse in red-light areas. Children brought up in Orphanages in India are not given proper higher education after attaining 18 years. Till the 18 years, education is almost free through Government and aided schools. Then What ?? in most cases, children are left behind without given chances to achieve their dreams. SO WE NEED TO ACT. 
 Each child brought up by an institution is given ample opportunities to peruse their dreams of higher education and to choose their career. We plan to provide job-oriented courses to the children from Hope Community Village as well as other childcare institutions (CCI). This facility can be also shared with children from single women-headed families/widows. (Hope Community Village has done a pilot study on this subject and has enough experience since 1995) 
 By providing suitable higher education we can ensure self-reliant, self-supporting individuals with social commitment. In our experience from 1995, Hope Community Village could provide higher education to more than 50 children. 24 young adults among them got married and settled in mainstream society. Some of them even settled successfully abroad. Children from the single women-headed/widows reached to a level they could take care of their mother as well as other siblings.
