“I saw a girl, barely 7 or 8, being pushed into flesh trade. Her cries for help still echo in my ears. There were men as old as 60 r*ping the innocent child. For 11-year-old Ravi (name changed) a normal day would start before the sun rose and involved carrying heavy loads up a narrow staircase, in a ramshackle building filled with clouds of toxic smoke. And work rarely ended before nine or ten at night. “The fumes in the stone-polishing factory were such that I would choke and feel suffocated all day long. There was a time when I fell from the first floor and had I not caught onto the railing, I am not sure what would have happened. Free Workshops for Government Job Exams

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Floating Library Program in partnership with Pratham Books. In a bid to bring education closer to children in hard-to-reach rural areas, we have created 12 floating libraries across the Bajali and Barpeta districts. These libraries, set up on boats, travel to villages located near water bodies, ensuring that children have easy access to a wide range of educational books, regardless of their location.Through this innovative initiative, we aim to foster a culture of reading and learning among children in these regions. Each floating library is stocked with books from Pratham Books, focusing on enhancing literacy, sparking curiosity, and encouraging the joy of reading. So far, over 700+ children have benefited from this program, and we are excited to continue expanding our reach.
