Villages and small towns have been hit hard in the crisis of returning migrant families. This return has adverse impact tin many ways. Pressure on local resources increases while available income and cash flows decrease. Families look to government support for rations and wage labour. However they are in urgent need of other services as well. schooling and education are hard hit and local health services are inadequate to deal with COVID as well as the illnesses prevalent there. There is urgent need to meet needs for such basic services. Each location has different needs, and the solutions have to be hyper local. 
 We will identify and facilitate change- makers, especially women and youth, to step in and address such needs. We will offer micro incubation support which includes processes to assess local needs and identify small business opportunities in services like health care, education, waste management. we have our network of anchors who will work closely with them helping them shape up their enterprises. As the process concludes these R2R fellwos will be running viable service enterprises to fill gaps not serviced by other players ( commercial official or charitable ) 
 20 fellowships will help create and stabilise 20 enterprises in resource poor communities to bridge last mile gaps in services like education, community health

The ProblemImpactful change-makers are created with small, timely inputs. The emerging ecosystem for the incubation of startups recognizes this need. However, this support has yet to reach resource-poor communities, where gender and rural-urban gaps are pronounced. Ground-up, grassroots interventions focusing on women are essential to bridging these gaps.Our SolutionWe find and nurture changemakers, especially rural women, through our Changemaker, Rural Women Edupreneurs, and Entrepreneurs Fellowships. We launched the Community Health Entrepreneurs (CHE) program in 2022 and have completed two batches. These opportunities help women explore, define, test, and develop action plans for local entrepreneurial ideas. Additionally, we offer networking and skill development support through a team of dedicated anchors.Impact13 Years of Impact: We have provided 211 Fellowship opportunities across 13 states in India.Successful Entrepreneurs: Inspired and nurtured 46 changemakers who are now successful micro-service entrepreneurs, addressing issues such as education quality, basic healthcare, skill development, and innovation.Strong Anchor Network: 16 Anchors working in 8 states—Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, and Maharashtra.Skill Building: Through 2 micro-incubation hubs, we offer numerous skill-building opportunities.Community Reach: Our fellowships have improved the well-being of over 15,000 people across various states.Current Fellowship Programs (2023-2024)Rural Women Edupreneurs (RWEs): Three active batches in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh (7 fellows); Satara, Maharashtra (5 fellows); and Palamu, Jharkhand (5 fellows).Upcoming Fellowships: 5 fellows identified in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, with the fellowship starting in August. Empower Her: Micro-Incubation for Rural Women Changemakers

OFTEN one's calling to serve the community and make a difference is hampered by lack of resources. Plustrust nurture and support such individuals, particularly rural women and youth, to become change-makers.Vibha Kumari's dreams of becoming a teacher were dashed when she did not get through the government Shikshamitra recruitment programme. But that didn’t deter her. She started tutoring children from nearby villages - from two the number grew to 40.With her obvious talent - and passion - for teaching she was employed by a local NGO in her hometown of Birpur, Bihar. In 2018 they encouraged Vibha, now in her fifties, to apply for Plustrusts’s Rural Women’s Edupreneurship (RWE) fellowship - which she did, and has not looked back.“First I used to write on their books or on the blackboard, but after the Plustrust four-day workshop I realized children need an environment to explore their artistic vision,” says Vibha. Now, at the community learning centre she runs she has switched to activity-based experiential-learning to teach Language and Maths to her growing tribe of students.It has been such a joyful process that Vibha herself has discovered that she can write poetry and she is publishing her book of poems soon‘PeopleLikeUS’ Trust incubate social initiatives by individuals like Vibha, who listen to their inner voices and want to work towards inclusive education for children, youth and women or in the field of animal welfare through their Changemaker and RWE R2R fellowships.For these aspiring changemakers, workshops are conducted in a number of towns in various states to build their confidence and skills to scale their reach, and further support is given during implementation.The Changemaker fellowship started in 2014. To date 32 fellows’ ideas of change have been incubated by Plustrust, ranging from innovative urban bird shelters to income generation for rural youth to working with the Adivasi community.Plustrust not only provide economic support, but also help the fellows construct proposals, conduct workshops and help upscale projects. Over time these ‘Changemakers’ are often relied upon to mentor and pass on their skills to the new batch of fellows as Anchors.Started in memory of Gowri Iyer by her mother, her teacher and her friend, the organisation continues to strive to live up to Gowri’s compassion for the disadvantaged and animals.
