“The abusers insert a candle or fingers in the vagina of children torture them. If the children don’t relent even then, the abusers put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. When children stay in these conditions, it is painful even to hear,” says Lalitha SA of the Society for Participatory Integrated Development (SPID), while talking about many heart-rending stories of trafficked children in red-light areas. In over three decades, the team of SPID led by Lalitha, has saved over 3000 children from the red-light areas in Delhi, such as GB Road, and many from clutches of sex trafficking. Most of the people in India are living below the poverty line and are facing many problems, viz., lack of food, shelter, health care, education and unemployment and thus the people live in utter poverty. Poverty has always been recognized as the major cause of death and disability. Poverty brings on a lack of safe Drinking Water, inadequate food, poor health care and poor education. All these will have an effect on health.The poverty situation in the Indian context reflects in the State of West Bengal and in the villages. The families in slums and rural areas are normally large and often face problems and the earning members of the family unable to cope with the situations. Sometimes they may not get work to earn. Eventually, they migrate to other places in search of livelihood or starve to meet death or disease. The struggle of the poor starts in the womb. The child in the womb suffers from the consequences of malnutrition in the mother.The families that are living in slum areas of West Bengal are daily wage labourers. They are living in utter poverty. They are unable to fetch their square meal a day. Some of the parents do admit their children to private English medium schools. But are unable to continue their studies due to the high school fees. So Pranab Kanya Sangha has an English medium school where minimum fees are charged.

 Children brought up in the orphanage home cannot cope effectively with the outside world. This is displayed in their dispositions because most of them tend to be introverted and always want to keep to themselves in a few cases they turn out to be backward in speed and verbal intelligence. Social welfare services and training of professional social workers of all categories social workers can succeed in making their contribution towards realizing their objective of the government in improving people's welfare only after they have keenly understood the problem.The causes and the effect of those people on the community the desertation is an attempt toward such changes taking place and their documentation the study will focus on the impact of the orphanage home on a child's personality development in the later parts of his life.The members of Pranab Kanya Sangha are trying their hearts and soul to provide all their necessities together with their future establishments.
