If the children don’t relent even then, the abusers put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. When children stay in these conditions, it is painful even to hear,” says Lalitha SA of the Society for Participatory Integrated Development (SPID), while talking about many heart-rending stories of trafficked children in red-light areas. In over three decades, the team of SPID led by Lalitha, has saved over 3000 children from the red-light areas in Delhi, such as GB Road, and many from clutches of sex trafficking. I had even seen my friend’s 15-year-old sister and 70-year-old grandmother being forced to do sex work for the price of a cup of tea”, recalls Girish. “I started by merely feeding and teaching children of sex workers initially with the intention of giving them some respite from the horrors of life of abuse in red-light areas. Gradually more and more mothers started coming to me and asked me to take their children away, even if it was just for a couple of hours,” he further adds.The work that Girish started in his youth gradually grew to become a movement, with many more joining his cause. Vashisth Convent School managed by Vashisth Gramoudoga Seva Sansthan was founded in the year 1995 by Dr K.B.Misra an ex I.A.F officer after his retirement with a mission and vision to educate children in rural and backward areas. He choose his own home village to start it ., though his family members wanted him to settle in the city after his retirement and pass his old age time and take a rest. But as a soldier, he always did something for his motherland, and hence against the Will of his family, he decided to stay in his village and educate the children of his own locality.He invested all his retirement funds in building this school, and for him running the school was not easy as the fee collection in rural areas was very low and poor. So to meet the expenses he has to spend from his old age pension. Now after his death in the year 2015 Nov 2nd. We here at Vashisth Convent School are constantly working to continue his mission to grow. Thousands of children are educated through this school in these past 24 years. We still are in the hope and mode to improve this school to cater the modern and latest education to children of this school and area. This shall be a better place for learning and empowering skills for the Next Generation.

Vashisth Convent School is a school in a remote village where children don't have proper sitting arrangements. They sit under a tin shade in summer when the heat is unbearable and the classroom does not even have a fan as there is no regular electricity supply. Therefore the students are forced to sit under the trees for classes. However, the situation becomes worse during the monsoon when the students have to miss their classes because of rain. These outside classrooms have no blackboard and no proper sitting arrangements. We want to construct all-season Pacca Classrooms in School for the students so that they can attend classes through all the weather conditions. 
 With the help of this fund, we will construct classrooms, libraries and science labs so that these children can have access to quality education in these remote villages. These children belong to low-income groups of Farmers and Labourers who can not send their wards to the city for their basic education.Educating rural India *Padhega India tabhi to badhega India * and *School Chalo Abhiyan*The issue is that despite all the efforts, and campaigns by our Govt, Various NGOs, and National and International agencies we still find many schools Dropouts in rural India, or Primary education starts very late due to poor financial conditions of villagers or lack of motivation to attend school.We as educational Institutions are trying our best to attract these age group 5-12 children make them attend school through School Chalo Abhiyan, Providing free school Bags, Books and stationary etc to attract them thereby reducing the financial burden on their parents. Many such schemes are run by Govt also but that’s not sufficient due to the large no of students and fewer schools in a rural area. 
 The change through this action which we want to bring about is to reduce the of dropouts in school and encourage more enrollment in primary classes, Age group 5-12 is our target which is most vulnerable and can not take any decisions on their own. This is where our role comes to motivate and educate their parents to enrol their children at this age on school and provide them congenial atmosphere for study and healthy upbringing.Children who are not enrolled in school get involved in other households, do Conventional work or assist their parents in agricultural fields and hence they later are not keen to go to school. This condition shall be avoided at this by proper motivation, help and offering some lucrative scheme to divert their minds towards proper schooling.In the last two sessions viz 2020-21 and 2021-22 due to Covid, There had been a drastic downfall in enrollment as parents moved from one place to another in search of new livelihood opportunities and hence children suffered a lot and did not attend a school or many sat home during this due to poor financial condition.We need to take calls to help these sitting children to come out and attend school by providing them with all possible support through us and our potential Donors.
