Mostly Children from rural villages go to School for mid-day meals and therefore we can find good attendance in the School. But children are not able to read or write nor able to do math. This is very evident from ASER Report. To address these problems, Vidyarambam uses the expertise of veteran educationists, teachers and pedagogy experts to develop low-cost, high-quality, activity-based scalable programs, resources and methodology for rural students. The programs are taken to the children in the villages by training women from the community as teachers      
 ·        To improve the level of quality education to children of Standards 1 to 5 in Primary Schools in Tamil Nadu.·        To teach and make these children understand English, Tamil and Math to their age level·        Teachers from the local village are trained in our methodology to take it forward to these children·        Children understand the concepts well when taught with activity·        Strong foundation in English, Tamil and Math could be given over a period of five years if we support these children from standard 1 to 5 
 With the intervention of Vidyarambam in schools, the methodology of teaching would undergo a drastic change. Learning would become more practical and joyful. Every day for 2 hours, children would work with educational materials in Maths and languages, that Vidyarambam has designed to address the specific needs of rural children

Learning Centers in villages of TamilNadu

English as a language has created a jittery in the minds of the children in the rural villages and in urban areas too as they are mostly first-generation learners and don't have exposure to the language. But English is part of their school syllabus. 
 Recognizing this need, Vidyarambam has taken the task of demystifying English and teaching it in a fun-based method to rural and urban students with the end goal to read, write and speak English. We teach Primary and Middle School children 
 <ol><li>·        Make the process of learning English as a second language more enjoyable</li><li>·        Ability to read and write in English and achieve a certain amount of fluency in conversing in English</li><li>·        Negate the fear of learning English which directly reflects in the drop-out rates in schools</li></ol>

EASY LEARNING ENGLISH

Vidyarambam provides early educational intervention for less-privileged children, by training and nurturing capable teachers to create a societal transformation. Offer free, quality, supplementary education to under-achieving children from less-privileged sections of society so that they become high-performing, confident students with a bright future. We will do this with a culture of excellence, transparency and accountability. This will be accomplished by developing and deploying learning methods that are relevant to the environment of the children, by nurturing a team of women from every village where we are present and empowering them to transform the lives of the children in their care, and by including their parents in the transformation process.
