A festival of giving that India celebrates every year from October 2-8 to spread the joy in the lives of others. What started with a handful of volunteers has now become a national event. According to Bhumi, in 2018, over 60 lakh people across 200 cities participated in Daan Utsav by doing acts of giving.

#Event1: Challenge Yourself with Give’s #HaftaChalenge
Daan Utsav is a festival of giving. It is a week to celebrate happiness with others by doing something kind and meaningful. To spread happiness, every year Give comes up with 7 acts of kindness. #Event2: Gift A Nature A Breath of Fresh Air with Bhumi
This Daan Utsav, Bhumi has prepared itself to take the joy to the entire country. It is driving 2 large volunteers driven campaigns and many city-specific events between Oct 2-8, 2019.
- Campaign 1 – Bhumi is organizing the countrywide cleanup activities on October 2 in partnership with TikTok. On the day of Bapu’s birthday, who was a strong advocate of cleanliness, Bhumi is encouraging the entire nation to come together and clean their cities by plogging, (picking up the litter while jogging)
- Campaign 2 – You can also join Bhumi on October 6th to make seed balls. It is organizing an event, to make 10 lakh seed balls with the help of 25,000 volunteers in 50 cities

#Event3: Listen to Your Heart with Goonj
Celebrating 150 years of Gandhiji’s life who said, “My life is My Message” and “Be the Change you want to see in the world”, Goonj is calling out to the nation with a message ‘Dil ki Suno, Kuch Karo’ (Listen to Your Heart, Do Something).
Through its collection camps across the cities, Goonj is reaching out to the people across India. It is also organizing several Volunteer Meets in different cities to plan this 11th Daan Utsav, as an event of compassion and empathy. #Event4: Paint Bhubaneswar with Bakul Foundation
On October 2, Bakul Foundation and BMC are organizing a Public Art event mobilizing citizens of Bhubaneswar to participate in painting a public wall to celebrate the 11 years of Daan Utsav. Who can participate? Anyone! If you are in Bhubaneswar on Oct 2, put on your old clothes, take your new pair of painting brushes and paint the city in the color of happiness. Take your gang along because it is allowing people to register as groups.
