Use Give’s guide to plan your company’s social impact activities for the year

JUST about everything and everyone has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. A survey conducted by Give in October 2020 revealed that India’s appetite for giving has radically increased during the coronavirus crisis, with 85% of those surveyed conveying a heightened desire to donate or give back, thus increasing social impact.

This trend was evident in corporations too, large and small. For Give’s India COVID Response Fund, CSR contributions exceeded ₹75 crore, along with ₹7 crore from employees, ₹40 crore from foundations and ₹20 crore from high networth individuals.

The coronavirus crisis has also changed the way we live and work. With a large number of employees operating remotely, their exposure to the culture and ethics of the companies they work for is limited. To make meaningful social impact, employee engagement is more important than ever.

Meaningful campaigns

So as we embark into the new year – underlined by hope, positivity and kindness – we, at Give, have put together a Giving Calendar 2021, below, for you. It is a guide and easy reference to cause-focused days and festivals to help plan and execute innovative, engaging employee giving campaigns and creating social impact throughout the year.

So whether it is World Cancer Day or Women’s Day or DaanUtsav – India’s largest festival of giving – you can pick causes that align with your corporate ethos and mark them by celebrating and meaningfully engaging your employees. It will also showcase what your company stands for and the social impact you want to make.

The Workplace Giving team at Givewill help you plan and implement all your giving activities for 2021 by supporting you with our tech platform, marketing materials, campaign execution and help you know your organisation’s impact through reporting.

Together we can create a more engaged workforce, a happier workplace and a better world! Giving changes lives – of the receiver and the giver.
