Campaign by Second Chance Foundation
ccccckñy“Severely injured, hungry and ill, I was lying on the roadside with my leg fractured to bits. This is the condition in which Jasper found me in. He cleaned and clothed me and rushed me to the hospital. When my own children turned their backs on me, he became my son,” says Subbamma, 68, a resident of Jasper's Second Chance Home.
A caring son to over 150 abandoned elderly parents, Jasper Paul, put his engineering career on hold to save senior citizens. He has rescued hundreds of elderly from the streets and given them a loving home. However, now the 27-year-old is facing a severe financial crisis and needs urgent funds to care for the helpless seniors left to die on the streets.
Support Jasper Paul in his mission to rescue elderly parents, abandoned by their own children. Help him give the elderly urgent medical care and a safe home. Donate generously.

Jasper Paul started helping the homeless elderly when he was just 19 years of age. His journey began when he saw a 90-year-old woman lying on the side of the road, injured, bare bodied and covered in maggots. This sight jolted him. He picked her up, cleaned and clothed her, and rushed her to the hospital. Thus began a lifelong mission to save helpless senior citizens left to die on the streets.
“Thousands of people are abandoned on the streets, most of whom are left by their own families on the roads, abandoned at bus stops, railway stations and hospitals. They end up in a very pathetic state covered in flies, maggots, insects, and their own waste. They are desolate, hungry, and expecting death to come at any moment. Most of these people can not even express their pain and suffering. Many are just waiting for their children to come and take them back home. But the harsh reality is that they are going to be on their own till they die. Even after they die, no one comes to even claim their body. They are the most ignored and untouched part of society, says Jasper.
Second Chance not just a charity for Jasper
For Jasper, his work is not charity but his life’s purpose. “I have dedicated my entire life to helping the elderly homeless and will not stop until the last abandoned senior citizen is taken off the streets”, the NGO founder adds.
“With over 200 elders at Second Chance, space is becoming a major concern for us. The house for the elders that we have right now is rented, and that is becoming a huge burden for me and my wife to carry alone. With your support, we can do so much more for the homeless elderly. We can reach out to many more abandoned senior citizens and give them lifelong care,” Jasper says.
The nonprofit gets a number of calls each day asking it to rescue the ailing elderly. Once rescued, they are brought to the Second Chance Foundation shelter home and treated with love and affection. Most of the elderly make a full recovery and their transformation is absolutely unbelievable.
Jasper says, “I have rescued more than 2,000 people from city streets, but the problem is still on the rise. We have even started a free of cost hospital for the homeless. Our vision is to provide quality health care to the ones most in need”.
