Help these children overcome the learning challenges caused by the pandemic.

The pandemic and the lockdown has added more challenges to education to the Mulluru cluster which is a set of 13 villages in Kollegal Taluk, Chamaraj district, in Karnataka. When schools had to shut down during the lockdown, it created a gap and this loss of learning affected students’ abilities to read, comprehend, and perform basic mathematical functions. This has bigger implications in terms of motivation and drop out rate. 

Students in rural areas like Mulluru have bigger challenges than their urban counterparts because of poor internet connectivity, limited technology resources and their parents’ own low level of education. 

Now that schools have reopened, Meghshala wants to work towards reducing this loss of learning, by providing teachers in Mulluru with high quality e-learning resources to help them deliver lessons effectively. These lessons are loaded on tablets so that the teacher can use it offline and overcome connectivity issues. 

Our efforts will help nearly 1108 students in the Mulluru cluster. Teachers will be able to use these lessons to complete the syllabus faster and in an engaging manner.

And for a minimal cost, we can make up for the time these students have lost and help them continue their education seamlessly.
