It became clear that the event needed a name that was easily recognised by people all over the country between 2009 and 2013 as it expanded in scope and reached all socioeconomic strata and geographic areas of India. Volunteers changed the festival’s name to “#DaanUtsav” in February 2014 as a result of feedback they received from numerous individuals who reside in various regions of India.
