These friends who once fought cancer together reunited at the NGO that supported them. Donate for cancer!
old friends reunited at the NGO that helped them fight cancer

A special reunion

If anyone mentions ‘reunions’, I usually think about the recent times I’ve gotten together with a bunch of my friends from college. But the last time I heard the word changed the picture I connect with it forever.

Devika, Rashmi, and Nazia are old friends who reunited last week at Give’s partner nonprofit St. Jude. They were among the 20 youth attending the reunion of the 2006 batch of residents at the NGO.

An NGO that benefits from people who donate for cancer patients, St. Jude offers free food, recreation, and accommodation to kids battling the disease. Furthermore, they provide this support during the entire course of their treatment. These girls made friends with each other from separate hospital rooms when they were fighting for their lives.

They made memories not knowing how long they would get to keep them for. Could you imagine how special reliving those memories after a decade must have been?

The boys and girls who met that day resounded a clear message: There’s not only life after cancer but a rich and happy one filled with laughter, songs, movies, and PJs!

Donate for cancer patients and watch children just like them grow up and live their lives to the fullest. Here’s wishing them many more such reunions of celebration and joy.
