Give’s India Covid Response Fund has helped 28 lakh Indians
HERE is the latest impact report of our India Covid Response Fund – under which lie our six Covid-related missions. It tells you how many fellow citizens we have been able to help with the ₹76.38 crores of disbursements made so far to 170 of our NGO partners across India. Our NGOs have been working tirelessly on the ground to meet requirements – of humanitarian aid to poor communities, of cash relief to daily wagers and support to our healthcare workers.
Even before the nation went into lockdown, we had started our first Covid missions to protect the poorest from the virus, to support them with food and cash through the lockdown and also to provide PPE kits to our healthcare heroes. Our latest mission is to assist migrant labourers with transport and other costs to go home. For all our missions we have received tremendous support from you, our donors and well-wishers, and from corporates, HNIs and philanthropic foundations – for which we are very grateful.
India is opening up for business again after 75 days of being in lockdown. But coronavirus hasn’t gone away, with a new high in cases everyday – and neither have the causes that our missions support. A lot more is left to be done. Please contribute to one of our missions, here.
