    Description

    At the heart of the Foundation’s work is “Empowerment through Education,” which prioritizes teacher capacity building (Shikshaantar) to drive better learning outcomes. Tech Mahindra Foundation (TMF) is committed to investing in pedagogy, enhanced teaching aids, and technology-driven solutions to equip all children, including those with disabilities, through its ARISE (All-Round Improvement in School Education) and ARISE+ (Education for Children with Disabilities) programs.

    * ARISE - The ARISE program enhances primary education for marginalized communities by addressing the academic, social, infrastructural, and organizational aspects of schooling, transforming schools into centers of excellence.

    * ARISE+ - ARISE+ extends the Foundation’s impact to children with disabilities, supporting their integration into mainstream education and helping them build dignified, fulfilling lives.

    * Shikshaantar – Capacity Building for School Teachers - Tech Mahindra Foundation’s flagship teacher capacity-building initiative, creates a learning community focused on holistic education. It promotes the physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being of students and educators alike.

    * Mobile Science Labs – Experiential Learning on Wheels - This program enriches school infrastructure by providing experiential learning in environmental science for students in grades 3-5, bringing hands-on activities directly to schools.

    Description

    TMF's flagship program, SMART (Skills for Market Training), operates through dedicated centers and academies in collaboration with NGOs. With a strong emphasis on enhancing women’s employability, TMF focuses on improving workforce readiness by providing foundational courses, including communicative English, basic IT, and workplace readiness, along with specialized training tailored to specific industries.

    * Skills-for-Market-Training (SMART) Centers
    The SMART initiative, delivered through SMART Centers, addresses the skills gap among India’s youth from underserved communities, equipping them with the necessary competencies to enter the workforce.

    * Skills-for-Market-Training (SMART) Academies
    Launched by TMF in May 2016, SMART Academies provide training across 15 different skills, with a focus on three key domains: Healthcare, Logistics, and Digital Technologies. These academies aim to prepare students for careers in high-demand sectors.

    Description

    TMF recognizes the importance of empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) through skill development and inclusive education. The Foundation’s SMART+ and ARISE+ initiatives work to break down barriers and promote inclusivity across all levels.

    * Skills for Market Training for Persons with Disabilities (SMART+) - The SMART+ program is designed by TMF to foster self-reliance among PwDs by building a range of foundational and specialized skills. This initiative enables PwDs to pursue employment and lead dignified lives, equipping them with the tools for personal and professional growth.

    * Improvement in School Education for Children with Disabilities (ARISE+) - ARISE+ is a unique program that focuses on providing comprehensive education for children with disabilities aged 3-18. Through ARISE+, TMF is committed to creating inclusive learning environments that allow these children to thrive, regardless of physical or cognitive challenges.

  • Mind@Ease

    Description

    Mind@Ease, an initiative by Tech Mahindra Foundation, was launched in response to the challenges of the pandemic. This comprehensive online resource offers support, guidance, and information to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The platform provides services either free of charge or at highly subsidized rates, making it accessible to everyone. Featuring over 25 partner organizations, the website serves as a central hub for support on a variety of topics, including mental health and well-being, as well as career and job-related issues.
