India is home to between 40 to 90 million people with disabilities

Challenges faced by disabled people in India

Abandonment, mistreatment and neglect
There have been countless instances where disabled children have been abandoned as babies. There are many others who face mistreatment or neglect while at home. Our NGO partners have been working relentlessly to provide a caring and protective home, where every person with disabilities can feel safe and welcomed. Where they are educated, loved, given therapies and medical care.

Robbed of every opportunity
Many children with disabilities are locked away behind closed doors due to fear of judgment and stigma. But hundreds of kids and adults with disabilities, thanks to training and care, have proved their capabilities and made huge contributions to society. From struggling to survive to becoming bread winners, there are countless succes stories thanks to our NGO partners’ efforts.
