Story

Scenario 1 - Tuberculosis (TB)

It is often suggested that TB treatment fails because a patient doesn’t take their TB drugs correctly. It is certainly true that if a patient doesn’t take their TB drugs properly it can lead to the development of drug-resistant TB. However, the patient may already have drug-resistant TB. If they already have drug-resistant TB, then the treatment that someone is provided with may result in treatment failure even if the treatment is taken correctly.

Scenario 2 - Communicable diseases

Communicable diseases are illnesses caused by viruses or bacteria that people spread to one another through contact with contaminated surfaces. It takes about 2 to 3 days for the district hospitals and other players (WHO, UNICEF, Care) to respond to the area, and reporting is done by the local health department personnel to the additional PHC, CHC & District Hospital.

Scenario 3 – Non-Communicable disease (Cancer)

As India strides into the 21st century, the spectrum of disease has changed from mainly infectious diseases to more chronic diseases. Till now, the focus has been on treating cancer, less on prevention and on diagnosis. some cancers can be prevented more effectively if diagnosed early.

Scenario 1 - Tuberculosis (TB)

A dedicated frontline worker in a small village can easily monitor patients regularly and also ensure the Doctor is consulted through the Assisted Telemedicine model right from the village to identify adverse drug reactions and report to doctors immediately.

Scenario 2 - Communicable diseases

If there is a dedicated Front-line worker assigned to a village, she/he can quickly identify some of those patients who got infected by the virus, connect with the Doctor through assisted telemedicine immediately and check on the severity of the disease and report to the higher authority for quicker action to control the spread to other families in the village.

Scenario 3 – Non-Communicable disease (Cancer)

Cancer symptoms may vary, however, any abnormal lump/ sore anywhere in the body, along with any abnormal bleeding or discharge needs can be reported to the Doctor through assisted telemedicine. Once again, the Caare Model of a dedicated front-line worker by empowering them with assisted telemedicine can help in the early detection of Cancer.

We want to enable Social & Economical benefits in Rural areas.

  • A dedicated frontline worker / Health worker for a village concept can create an employment opportunity for Health workers in their own community.
  • Assisted Telehealth intervention will help in the Skill capacity building of Frontline workers / Health workers using telehealth services in daily life.
  • It will pave the foundation for telehealth services that may become a mainstream process for accessing healthcare services in rural areas avoiding all barriers.
  • Assisted Telehealth initiatives will allow Health service providers to treat patients, ensuring the right communication between both parties from remote places.
  • Telehealth can also expand the reach of resources to communities that have limited access to needed services in nearby villages.
  • This will allow rural folklore to receive health services at doorsteps with ease.
  • An assisted telehealth process that is standardized can be followed in other villages as well.
  • The reporting by the Health worker in the village can be used further by the government/agencies to track the status of Healthcare projects.
