I am Sudarsan Roy, a Ph.D. scholar at your university and I cleared the UGC NET exam in July 2018 and June 2023. Both times I was selected for NFSC. In the first case, I was not aware of my NFSC award letter issued on 17th September 2019. I was admitted to the Ph.D. program at your university on 20th October 2020. Since I was not aware of my first award letter, I did not join the NFSC fellowship. I took a fellowship (8 thousand per month) from the SVMCM scheme of the West Bengal government from October 20, 2020 to September 2023. At the end of 2023, I logged into the UGC profile login section and saw the NFSC Award letter. Although I secured admission, I did not start the NFSC fellowship and faced various problems without proper financial support. I contacted the NFSC authority through e-mail and phone calls in that regard and they suggested I better join the fellowship in respect of my first award letter issued in 2019. I have received an e-mail from NFSC regarding this issue and according to them, I am still eligible to join the fellowship with my first award letter. Now I have to close the SVMCM fellowship and refund the whole amount so that I can join the NFSC fellowship. I need 300000 to close the SVMCM fellowship.

I belong to a poor family. My father is a folk singer and after covid-19 my family income is almost nothing now. In this case, if I receive financial help under the NFSC scheme, it will be very beneficial for my further research work.
