My Journey

In February 2018, I read about the Kathua rape case, where seven men brutally assaulted an 8-year-old girl for nearly a week. The incident shook me deeply; I couldn't sleep for days. That moment changed my life.

In 2020, I began working at Capgemini. However, the memories of that case lingered. By September 2022, at the age of 24, I made a pivotal decision: I left my job to dedicate myself fully to preventing child sexual abuse. Over the next two years, I invested all my savings into this mission.

The Stark Reality

• 1 in every 2 children in India has experienced sexual abuse.
• In over 90% of cases, the abuser is someone known to the child.
• Less than 5% of these cases are reported.

These statistics reveal a silent epidemic affecting countless children.

Our Mission: Bachpan Save The Innocence

We are a youth-led organisation with over 300 dedicated volunteers, primarily operating in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where support systems are scarce.

Our approach includes:

• Children: Educating them about safe and unsafe touch, establishing safe circles, and empowering them to say “No” and seek help.
• Parents & Teachers: Training to recognise warning signs and respond appropriately.
• Institutions: Implementing protective policies and effective reporting mechanisms.

Our Impact So Far:

• Conducted over 1,600 workshops.
• Reached more than 60,000 children and stakeholders.
• Secured permissions in 3+ districts to conduct sessions in government schools.

The Next Step: Reaching 10,000 More Children in 6 Months

Our goal is to conduct 370+ workshops across 33 schools in regions including Mathura, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Tehri.

Funding Requirements:

• ₹600: Empower 10 children.
• ₹6000: Empower 100 children.
• ₹25000: Empower an entire school

Total Goal: ₹6,00,000
