Association of Indian Football Coaches - AIFC COVID-19 Coach Stimulus Program (AIFC CCSP)

The current pandemic and lockdown have restricted coaches and players alike from engaging in football and any other sport. The coaches are unable to coach at clubs, football academies, schools and other institutions as sessions cannot be continued in a situation like this. Sport is a passion for such coaches and these academies and institutions are the only source of income for them. Since the pandemic has affected their operations, their income has stopped. Therefore, we have started with the AIFC COVID-19 Coach Stimulus Program initiative.

Throughout the Pandemic the AIFC has kept the coaches motivated and mentally engaged. We have been conducting FREE webinars/online courses and workshops. We reached out to more than 4000 coaches from 28 states and 5 Union Territories across the country. The webinars will only help to an extent, but there is a huge concern of their daily basic needs. There are many coaches across the country who have lost their jobs & trying hard to make ends meet. Therefore, we would like to support these coaches who are in real need of basic supplies. We intend to support and provide three-month basic supplies to 1000 coaches across the country. We have already appointed state and zonal coordinators who will identify these coaches.

Our intention is to help them move on smoothly during the lockdown and also enhance their skills with our ongoing workshops, webinars and online courses. It reduces the stress of the requirement of daily needs to an extent and helps them focus on their profession. They will continue contributing towards nurturing our grassroots, youth and elite and creating role models and responsible citizens.
