In the current state of crisis caused by COVID-19, children and families in more than 24 locations across India are among the worst affected population due to their poor economic backgrounds and social vulnerabilities.
SOS India is committed to respond to the emergent needs of these marginalized groups consisting poorest of the poor, schedule castes, schedule tribes, migrants and other socially backward groups.
SOS Children’s Village of India has been working with communities at grass root level since a decade, which has now reached out to over 18,500 children across 32 locations pan-India.
In collaboration with Give India - IRAO, we wish to expand our reach to 200 families benefitting 400 chidlren
Total Number of Beneficiaries –
1. Direct Beneficiaries (Families): 200 (*will vary as per the actual numbers)
2. In-direct Beneficiaries (Children): 400 (age group 0 years – 18 years)
· Livelihood Support for women headed families
· Capacity building of women through income generation activities & SHG support
· Helping set up small business and micro enterprise initiatives for those who lost their earnings
· Overall Community mobilization to challenge the societal women & girls issues
