When you educate a girl, you educate an entire family. Professional education boosts her self confidence and helps her to withstands in all the aspects of life”.

Research shows that every extra year of school for girls increases their lifetime income by 15%. Improving female education, and thus the earning potential of women, improves the standard of living for their own children, because women invest more of their income in their families than men do. In a recently published report for developing countries, when 10 % more girls go to school, a country’s GDP increases by 3 %. The realization of the country’s aspirations involves changes in the knowledge, skills and values of the people as a whole. If this change in a grand scale is to be achieved there is one and only one instrument that can be used, higher education for women.

We provide merit- and need-based mentor-ship to girl students from disadvantaged backgrounds studying in 10th standard. Deserving girls are selected through well-defined selection criteria and will be supported for 7-8 years, until they become independent professionals. Every year we will add 30 to 40 deserving girls to this programme.

• Financial Support – We reimburse students school fees, fees of recommended additional coaching, books & notebooks expenses.
• Career Counselling Guidance and Mentoring –We organize aptitude tests and counselling by experts for choosing the right professional career and mentor the girls as they prepare for the same.
• Strong Foundation of Values – We believe – ‘Do what is right and not what is easy.’ So we want to create a strong foundation of values for our Aatmajas
• Skill Development & Grooming – Various training programs are conducted for students like Leadership development, Effective communication, Time management for overall development.
• Health Awareness – We arrange sessions for health awareness – personal hygiene, nutrition and safety.
• Vibrant Network of Aatmajas – We enable students to create a strong support system to each other through a vibrant network of Aatmajas.
