Story

Aishwaryam Trust is an NGO which is running a hospice named, Nethravathi Pain, Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Centre at Madurai. The centre is managed by a group of medicos has grown to 46 bedded pain relief, palliative care and rehabilitation centre. All the inmates are abandoned with life-limiting illness at the market places, pavement and outside the hospitals. Some of them are referral by old-age homes.

We provide relief from pain and other distressing symptoms and rehabilitate, maximize movement and function, where threatened by ageing, injury or disease, essential for optimal well being and offer a support system to help patients live as actively as possible until death

We wish to contribute to the following impact

  • Increasing positive attitude towards elderly care and support among general public.
  • Creating awareness about palliative care and rehabilitation that nobody should die in the street as an orphan or abandoned with pain.
  • Developing an elderly care and supporting society through displaying the need of the palliative care and rehabilitation.
