Critical Care Resource Mobilization for fight against Covid-19 in India

• India is reeling under Covid-19. In the last four weeks, India has had more than 10 million people testing positive and more than 40,000 deaths.
• The healthcare infrastructure is overburdened and crumbling.
• Most people in lower-income groups have been unable to access any healthcare support such as essential medicines, devices like pulse oxymeters, doctors, nurses, hospitalization, ICU care, oxygen. At the moment, the crisis is visible in bigger cities. But a disaster is waiting to happen in smaller cities, towns and possibly villages, where the quality of medical infrastructure is worse than in big cities.

Life Wins Foundation, a Registered charity that works on the ground with Doctors and Healthcare workers at several places in India have tied up with Cranfield Indian Alumni have to raise funds for

• Providing Oxygen Cylinders
• Providing Oxygen Concentrators
• Bipap machines and ICU Monitors
• Vital sign monitors - Pulse Oxymeters / Thermometers
• Essential Medicare kit – Gloves / Masks
• Fogging machines

We wish to reach out to the hospitals and healthcare centres in the rural part of India that is in need of oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrator. As the reports suggest that third wave will be fatal in the rural parts of India so as a team we have decided to focus on the places that don't have a proper facility for the treatment of covid and have the intention to treat the patient free of cost. The hospitals or the health care centres that we have identified are in Maharashtra - in Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Pondalpur, Khed, in Bihar -- in Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, Gaya and in Uttar Pradesh --- in Mirzapur, Pratapgarh.
