Early intervention scaling the impact program

Interventions promoting child development should address physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive areas of development. Services targeting these domains of development are termed, “Early Intervention therapy” and can encompass physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy and special education.

Early Intervention has a significant impact for children who have delayed development in physical, cognitive, emotional, sensory, behavioral, social and communication domains of development. With quality early intervention services children can reach their potential, live a meaningful life and integrate into their communities.

Through our continuous research and development over the past several years we have developed a model called Enabling Inclusion that leverages on technology for the rehabilitation of children with disabilities. The Enabling Inclusion is a pre-programmed rehabilitation app that helps deliver rehabilitation at the doorsteps of the Children with Developmental Delays with high fidelity and quality at 25% of the cost of conventional programs. This has won several national and global awards including the United Nations on two occasions and the State Government of Tamil Nadu has recognised it as an efficient model and we are collaborating with them to reach out to more than 2000 Children with Disabilities in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Through our Enabling Inclusion model, we wish to reach 100,000 Children with Disabilities in India by 2030 and have presence in at least 10 states. Our focus will be on children in their early childhood development where the intervention would substantially help the child to overcome challenges and start their life journey in a positive note. We are establishing a separate Center for Excellence in Rehabilitation and Development of Children with Disabilities through which we are scaling the impact of our program by networking with NGOs and governments. Our dream is to see that no children is denied of schooling experience in India because of lack of rehabilitation opportunities.

We are planning to scale t0 1500 more Children with Developmental Delays in this year through this initiative. Rehabilitation, technology and training and knowledge building are the three major components of this program.
