Please help us setting up supplementary education centers for underprivileged children

There are two categories of children who need major intervention for their rehabilitation and relief. The first category is orphan/destitute children who lack parental care and guidance. If not taken care of, they might turn against society and become a liability. The second category of children belongs to families living in impoverished communities, often from the lower strata of society, earning livelihood through daily wage labour and menial jobs. The education of children is never given the importance it deserves. Most girls are married off as soon as they attain puberty and most boys drop out of school to pursue low-paying jobs. For these children, education is the only hope to break out of the vicious cycle of poverty and illiteracy.

Though we are currently targeting five supplementary education centres, the planned action is to set up as many study centres as possible. The goal is to provide study and teaching materials, supplementary nutrition food, and first aid kits for the children. The project also provides support to the teachers as they play a vital role in enabling children’s education. To ensure the program is going as per the plan, meetings are planned with teachers and parents. We have also planned for talent exhibiting events to motivate the children.

We aspire to serve as many children as possible. Enabling education along with the much needed nutritional food will help the children to break out of the vicious cycle of illiteracy.
