Sai Sankalp Nursery and Primary School - Foundational Literacy Program

Over the years of working with children in our school, we have observed that there is a vast learning gap between students within a single class which correlates with the child's social, economic and family background. This gap increases over time and is the key cause of early dropout from school.  

Foundational Literacy (English and Tamil Languages) and Foundational Numeracy and Foundational Science programs are designed to ensure minimum learning objectives/skills are achieved by every child in the class and to ensure minimum gap among students within a learning group. The complete course structure has been designed for children of age group 4 to 10 with a logical grouping of step by step learning modules. 

All the Foundational Courses will be headed by Academic Director. Lead Champions for Foundational Literacy, Foundation Numeracy and Foundational Science programs have been appointed. In addition to in-house content, we are leveraging third-party educational content providers like LMES Academy, Byjus Early learn, Katha on Ratha, PSchool and Diksha for course content.   

Children will go through continuous assessment and learning badges will be awarded as and when learning objectives are completed. 

Create strong literacy, math, science and reasoning skills so these kids will be able to transition to government schools and not drop off from mainstream education.

Create inspired and motivated life-long learners who will persevere.
