Project Samavesh (Inclusion)

100 million children are at risk for lagging behind in learning and life outcomes due to disabilities, mental health or abuse. Less than 10% of these are getting identified and even lesser are getting the right intervention. The consequences of not tackling these risks are huge and can vary from dropping out of school to turning towards criminal activities. These risks affects not only their education but chances of employment. Low awareness in teachers and parents have led to low identification and even lower interventions for these children at risk. What is missing is a systemic and programmatic approach to solve this at scale.

Sol's ARC in partnership with Tamilnadu state government will build inclusive solution from Education and Employment to ensure that every individual realizes their full potential. This is project Samavesh (Which means Inclusion)

Sol’s Arc will work with the key state officials in the Samgra Siksha Abhiyan to integrate solutions from K - 12. We will work with Tamil Nadu state officials to integrate this program as a pilot in 3 districts in the next 3 years.

Sol's ARC model

1. Co-create learning solutions with the government which will improve learning outcomes for all children(K - 12) leaving no child behind.
2. Implementing a mobile based screening tool which will help identify risk factors children face.
3. Co-create vocational solutions with the government which will improve employment outcomes for young adults.
4. Training various stakeholders through the cascade model till capacity of the system is built.
5. Tracking outcomes through rigorous data collection and analysis.

This program is projected to impact approximately 30,000 children, 1000 teachers in 1000 schools in 3 years in three districts in Tamilnadu. The impact the program will create -

1. Increase in learning gains in literacy and numeracy.
2. Increased screening and awareness of teachers and other stakeholder for risk that children face.
3. Improved employment opportunities especially for individuals with disability.
4. Increased capacity of various stakeholders in the state of Tamilnadu.
