Story
Jagruti’s health facilitators have been working in the rural areas of Kamshet. The paucity of locally available health care and access to medical facilities is very apparent. Our staff soon realised that serving the villages was difficulty because of lack of mobility. Reaching needy patients became tough without adequate transportation. Delay in treatment resulted in cases becoming serious. The need therefore was felt for a mobile dispensary/ clinic.
A mobile dispensary, will provide primary preventive, curative and referral health services at the door step to the people in the peripheral areas.
Equipped with medicines and two health facilitators and one doctor, the dispensary will be able to reach people who are unable to travel to health centers.
On May 9, 2019 the mobile clinic was started in Kamshet.
For the last two months the villages in this area ,Karanjgaon, wadar, Mormarewadi, Brahmanwadi and Gadewadi , have been benefitting from the services.
